Europol and eight other agencies launched the bust aimed at a network that targeted people trying to regain access to lost or stolen phones.

This is the fourth release from Guacamaya, a Central American hacking group that says it fights environmental devastation and exploitation.

The targeted systems are just two of dozens of the group's attacks in the last year.
